What is ScrapFest Connect?

ScrapFest Connect is an on-line community and our new way of staying "connected". This on-line community is a place where we can learn, be inspired and enjoy being crafty all year long.

What is the cost of a Membership?

The cost of a ScrapFest Connect Membership is $33+HST for the entire year.

When can I purchase a ScrapFest Connect Membership?

You can purchase a membership at any time. The day you join will be your start date and your membership is good for 1 year from this date. Your membership will be automatically renewed annually unless you decide to cancel your membership. Please refer to the FAQ on "Can I cancel my Membership anytime". If you decide to cancel your membership, you are welcome to sign up again at any time in the future.

Please Note: ScrapFest Connect will be finishing in 2024. There will still be three virtual events offered-FallFest 2023, WinterFest 2024, and SpringFest 2024, however, ScrapFest Connect will be ending July 31st, 2024. Thanks to everyone who supported our ScrapFest Connect virtual events!

How do I purchase a ScrapFest Connect Membership?

To connect with us online, you must have a Facebook account and join our Facebook group after payment has been processed.

During the online registration process, you will be directed to a secure website and asked to provide your credit card information. Once your payment has been received, you will be provided a link to our Facebook group where you will need to request to join. Your request will require approval, which should take 1-3 business days. Once approval is complete, you will receive notification in your Facebook account. Once your registration has been accepted you will be able to join in on all the fun, beginning with our first monthly challenge.

What happens after I purchase a Membership?

ScrapFest Connect members are part of a private Facebook Group. The link will be sent to you once you purchase your membership asking you to "Join" the group. Simply request to Join, then wait for an administrator to approve your request. Once your request has been approved, there will be posts to stay connected, especially as it gets closer to when we'll be hosting a virtual event.

How many Virtual Events are included in my Membership?

You will be able to join three virtual events, that will be offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring. If you aren't able to join us live, all the posts will remain so you can watch at anytime. Our three virtual event dates will be posted under the Upcoming Events tab of our website.

What does a ScrapFest Connect Virtual Event look like?

The virtual event will take place on a Saturday and run for 12 hours from 9:00am to 9:00pm. During that time, there will be 3 challenges allowing participants a chance to win a randomly drawn prize, coupon codes to stores for some amazing shopping, live demonstrations, an embellishment guess, a Grand Prize draw, and more. You will have until the next day, Sunday at 2:00pm to submit your projects to any of our challenges. We will announce the challenge winners LIVE at 3:00pm on Sunday.

What else is included in my Membership?

Every month that we aren't hosting a virtual event we will be posting challenges for a chance to win a prize.

Do I need anything to join?

You will need to have a Facebook account in order to obtain a membership and join the ScrapFest Connect Group.

What if I'm not available on the day the virtual event is held?

No worries! If you can't make the actual virtual event on the day it is being offered, all the posts will be there so that you can still watch the demonstrations and the mini class when it is convenient for you. You will have until Sunday at 2:00pm the day after the event to submit your work for any of our challenges for a chance to win a prize.

Can I cancel my Membership anytime?

Your Membership is good for 1 year from the date you sign up. You are not able to cancel during this time. Cancellation my only occur upon sending email notification to: info@scrapfest.ca at least one (1) week prior to the automatic renewal date.

I'm new to Facebook. How does a Virtual Event work?

We will have a tutorial that you can watch showing you where the challenges will be, how to post and upload an image, and show you other tricks to help you navigate the event.
